Cocoa Laden Truck in Lone Accident in Lagos
A truck with registration number IKR-617XQ, laden with bags of cocoa, was involved in a lone accident and fell on its side at Anthony village from Maryland.
Investigations at the scene revealed that the truck was heading to Iyana Isolo (5 Star), from Ibadan when it suffered mechanical error (brake failure), lost control on motion, and fell on its side.
No loss of lives as a result of the incident. Though the Driver of the affected truck sustained minor injuries and was given immediate medical assistance by LASAMBUS right at the scene.
LASEMA Response Team coordinated the Recovery Operation. Traffic Control Measures was activated in order to reduce traffic along the axis while A heavy duty tow truck was activated for the recovery process.
Meanwhile, the affected truck has been recovered off the busy road and towed to the LASTMA office at Oshodi.
