Police Arrest Wanted Armed Robbery Suspect, Recover Arms in Enugu
The Enugu state police command says it has successfully conducted multiple operations leading to the arrest of a wanted armed robbery suspect.
The command Spokesperson Daniel Ndukwe made this known in a statement made available to newsmen, saying the suspect who has been on the wanted list of the command was arrested with five firearms, two live cartridges, a snatched tricycle and other incriminating items.
According to him, the operation leading to his arrest was conducted by the Abakpa police division in collaboration with the neighbourhood watch group, which led to the arrest of the suspect named Daniel Aniude who is 22-years old.
The suspect according to the police will be prosecuted, while other members of his gang who are also in custody will also face the full wrath of the law.
The state police commissioner Kanayo Uzuegbu while commending officers and men of the command for the arrest, reaffirmed the commands resolve to make Enugu state unsafe for criminals throughout the yuletide season and beyond.
