Governor Fubara charges IYC to imbibe violence free approach
Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara has charged members of the Ijaw Youth Council to ensure they embrace violence-free approaches in their quest to achieve equity, justice and fair share of the resources in the Niger Delta region.
Governor Fubara made the disclosure when he received the leadership of the group and members across the Niger Delta zone on a solidarity rally to the government house in Port Harcourt.
Addressing members of the Ijaw pressure group, governor Fubara violence does not solve problems, hence the need to embrace dialogue in achieving the desired results.
On his part, the president of the IYC Dr. Alaye Theophilus harps on their challenges, which according to him amounts to neglect by oil multinationals in the Niger Delta.
