Police Officers advised to prioritize Safety of Nigerians

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, Benneth Igweh, has advised officers and Men of the Force to remain steadfast and committed to the task of safeguarding lives and property of Nigerians.

Igwe gave the admonition while decorating the Area Commander, Kotangora and 22 Senior Officers of the Command with their new ranks, said the gesture justified their commitment and steadfastness.

He commended the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun for his move on personnel welfare, and for finding the officers worthy to be recommended for promotion.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police added that the large scale promotion was part of the IGP's ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and morale of the Nigeria Police Force.

While congratulating the officers, he urged the promoted officers to see the promotion as a new beginning, as to whom much is given much is expected.

He emphasized the need to maintain professionalism and discipline where ever they find themselves, as discipline is the bedrock of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, DCP Makuliso Umaru expressed gratitude to God for sparing the lives of the beneficiaries and the Inspector General of Police for his Approval.

He assured the authorities that the standard will always be maintained when it comes to carrying out tasks given.

In all, Twenty-Three (23) senior officers of the zone benefitted from the promotion, one beneficiary from the rank of ACP-DCP, Seven from SP-CSP, three from DSP-SP and 12 from ASP-DSP.
