The House of Representatives has expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the Nigerian Army’s 2024 budget.

Chairman of the House Committee on Army, Hon Aminu Balele, stated this on Monday while addressing journalists after a closed-door session where the Army defended its 2025 budget proposal. Speaking after the session, Hon . Balele emphasized the need to improve the Army’s capital allocation, overhead costs, and allowances to align with global best practices.

Earlier, during the open segment of the meeting, the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, was present but was not permitted to speak in the presence of journalists. A committee member raised a point of order requesting the media to leave before the closed-door discussions commenced.
